Sirmaur

Sirmour is a small town in Himachal Pradesh in the north-west of Paonta Sahib on the southern bank of the Giri. The town which once served as the state capital known as Sirmour, today is known for its various architectural ruins. According to historical evidence, Sirmour was once the property of Raj of Jaisalmer and fell in to the hands of many rulers, before coming in to the reigns of the British. Some of the most popular attractions in the Shivalik Fossils Park, Renuka Ji, Rajgarh, Trilokpur, Poanta Sahib, Sarahan. The two most famous mountain peaks here are Churdhar Mountain and Haripur Dhar.--
